A Successful Spring Lineup of Events
We had a wonderful spring lineup of events! We kicked off the year with a winter concert in Cambridge, MA, hosted and organized by board member Bahar Soyoz. A talented musician herself, Bahar also delighted attendees by performing several pieces.

In March, our group traveled to Lowell, MA, for a day of learning and exploration led by board member Chad Montrie. We visited the Boott Cotton Mills Museum to learn about industrialization in New England and how it transformed workers’ lives. Our group also enjoyed a delicious lunch at Viet Thai Restaurant, celebrating the vibrant Southeast Asian communities that have become an important part of Lowell’s cultural landscape. We then continued our day with additional museum visits and engaging discussions.

In May, our Vice President, Sema Aygar, hosted a cultural potluck at Tufts University, co-hosted by Jamie Sharken of the Tufts Fletcher School. The event brought together Fulbrighters and alumni to celebrate cultural diversity and connection over a wonderful spread of delicious dishes from around the world.
